RESIDENTIAL

VILLA BENKEMOUN

In the early 1970s, Simone and Pierre Benkemoun entrusted their architect friend Emile Sala, a disciple of Le Corbusier, with the project of a family home. They dreamed of a “transparent and open” place to live. He has created fluid and dynamic spaces, flexible volumes, alternating lights and shadows. This organic architecture sometimes evoked neurons for him, but the circulation in the villa is also reminiscent of haciendas or riads, articulated around a patio.
